and region routing

Check the platform’s regional availability, then test playback. B2VPN offers international routes, but access to a specific catalog depends on how the exit IP is identified, your account entitlements, and the platform’s current policies.

What “access” changes

Your network exit is one factor in how a region is determined. It does not replace a platform subscription, account eligibility, or content rights.

Streaming services often use your IP address to estimate your location. They may also consider your account region, content rights, device environment, and proxy detection results when deciding what to show and whether playback is allowed. In practice, “access” means the platform accepts your current network exit and plays the title, subject to its terms. Loading the home page, seeing a title, and playing it are separate checks.

Changing routes mainly changes your network path and exit IP. It does not change your subscription tier or include titles that require a separate purchase. If a title is missing, it may not be licensed in your region. If it appears but asks you to pay, your account may not include it. If the page loads but playback fails, check proxy detection, player requests, and the network path.

Platform and region checks

We don’t have verified data confirming access to each platform in each region, so none are marked as supported below. The route suggestions describe how to test—not a promise of availability.

Platform × region × availability × suggested route
Platform Regional criteria Supported? Suggested route and what to check
Netflix Region of the title’s catalog Unverified; test with your current exit IP Choose an exit IP in the target region, sign in, and test a full title—not just the home page.
Disney+ The platform’s current service region Unverified; test with your current exit IP Check which regional service applies to your account, then test available routes in that region.
HBO Max Local service name and licensing terms Unverified; test with your current exit IP Confirm that you’re using the regional service linked to your account, then test playback.
Hulu The specific regional product and account eligibility Unverified; test with your current exit IP Check the product’s region. Your network exit cannot replace a platform’s residency checks.
YouTube Premium Membership benefits and content availability are assessed separately Unverified; test with your current exit IP Check your membership first, then test playback. Don’t infer the membership’s billing region from your exit IP.
Prime Video The account’s store and local content rights Unverified; test with your current exit IP Check whether the title is included in your account, then troubleshoot route detection.
BBC iPlayer UK service area and platform terms Unverified; test with your current exit IP Confirm that you meet the platform’s terms, then check whether it accepts the available exit IP.

Platform names are included only to describe access scenarios. This does not imply partnership, authorization, or verified access. Refer to each platform’s official information for its service regions.

Native IPs and residential IPs

Geographic location, network type, and platform detection are separate factors. No single label can replace a playback test.

Native IPs: check geographic registration

“Native IP” has no universally accepted industry definition. It generally describes an address whose registration details, geolocation database results, and actual usage region are consistent. Even if several lookup tools report the same region, streaming services may use their own databases and consider historical access patterns. Third-party lookup results are clues, not proof that a platform will play content.

Residential IPs: check network classification

A “residential IP” is generally an address classified as belonging to a home broadband network rather than a data center. It does not necessarily mean the address is dedicated or that a platform will accept it. Detection can depend on whether the address is shared, how it is used, and whether databases are up to date. Our service facts make no specific guarantees about residential or native IPs, so routes are not labeled on that basis.

Choosing a route: test the result

Choose the target region first, then test available routes there. IEPL, transit, and direct connection describe how a network path is organized; they do not indicate whether an exit IP is residential or hosted in a data center. Route types can help compare connection performance, but playback availability must be checked separately. A route labeled “dedicated” does not guarantee access to a particular platform or a specific video quality.

4K and Dolby Vision playback

Both require sustained, reliable throughput, as well as a compatible account, title, and device.

There’s no fixed bandwidth requirement for every stream

Bitrates vary by platform, codec, and title—and can change from scene to scene. Consistent buffering performance is more useful than a brief speed-test peak. This guide does not set a universal minimum bandwidth or claim that any route guarantees a particular quality. Check the platform’s current help information and the player’s status instead.

Dolby Vision is a high dynamic range format, not a measure of internet speed. The content, subscription, app, display, and output path must all support it. A network connection cannot add Dolby Vision to a standard title or change what a device can decode. With an external display, also check system output, connected devices, and content protection requirements.

Separate picture-quality issues from connection issues

If a title plays but stays at low resolution, check playback settings and your account plan first, then see whether buffering remains slow. Pause background downloads, reduce heavy traffic on the same network, and compare routes while keeping the region fixed. If your local Wi-Fi is unstable, changing international exit routes may not help; check the connection between your device and router too.

Switching countries repeatedly changes the test conditions and may prompt the platform to reassess your session. For a clearer test, keep the same title, device, and region, and change only the route each time. Monthly subscription data resets each month on the activation date. Data add-ons remain available until used and never expire. Check your remaining data in the dashboard before a long viewing session, then choose a plan based on your actual usage.

What errors mean and what to do

Keep the full error message; it’s more useful than the code alone. The same code can mean different things depending on the platform, app version, and playback device.

Netflix detects a proxy, or shows M7111-5059

These messages are often related to proxy or unblocking-tool detection; they do not necessarily mean your account is invalid. First, make sure the platform’s website and player use the same exit IP, and turn off other proxy configurations. Then try another available route in the same region. Reopen the app and test a full title. If the warning persists, note the full error and contact support through the dashboard. Loading the home page successfully does not mean the issue is resolved.

Disney+ shows Error 73 or says the region is unavailable

This message often points to regional detection or service-area requirements. Check that the service is available in your target region and that your account is eligible for that regional service. Then check your current exit IP and routing rules to ensure sign-in and playback requests don’t use different regions. If the platform still rejects the exit IP, don’t treat that route as supported. Refer to Disney+’s current help information for details.

HBO Max, Hulu, or BBC iPlayer says the service isn’t available in your region

First, distinguish a network-region message from an account-eligibility message. For the former, check your exit IP, app cache, and routing. For the latter, review your account and usage eligibility under the platform’s rules; changing routes alone won’t meet those requirements. If the app and website behave differently, note each result separately. There’s no need to repeatedly change your billing region or account details.

No error code, but playback buffers, shows a black screen, or has no video

Check whether other titles play normally. If only one title is affected, the issue may be with the content or player. If nothing plays, compare the website and app, then check your device’s clock, app updates, and display output. Sound without video can also point to decoding, display connections, or content protection—not just regional restrictions.

The connection works, but the catalog hasn’t changed

Changing your exit IP doesn’t guarantee that a platform’s catalog will change. Account region, licensing, cached data, and proxy detection can all affect what you see. First, use a network check page to confirm your current exit IP, then restart the app and search for a specific title. Don’t repeatedly change your account region just to test. Check the platform’s account rules to see whether and how region changes are allowed.

Route testing and service scope

Keeping test conditions consistent and checking one thing at a time is more useful than switching regions repeatedly.

Before testing, confirm that the title is available and your platform subscription is active. Then choose an available route in the target region from your client. Once connected, check your exit IP on a network test page, open the platform, and try a full title. If you use split tunneling, make sure the website, authentication, and media requests follow consistent rules. If you’re unsure how to configure them, start with the user guide; changing several settings at once makes it harder to tell what worked.

After testing, keep the route and device combination that plays reliably. B2VPN supports Windows / macOS / iOS / Android / Linux, with unlimited devices. This describes the service’s device allowance; it does not change the streaming account’s own limit on simultaneous playback. When sharing a platform account with family, using it across regions, or connecting an external display, follow the platform’s account and content rules.

Choose a plan based on data usage, not unverified access labels. Monthly plans: ¥9.9/month for 60GB, ¥18/month for 250GB, or ¥28/month for 500GB. Mid-cycle upgrades are prorated to the remaining days. Pay with Alipay / WeChat Pay / USDT. Includes a 7-day refund policy. If you need help troubleshooting, submit a support ticket through the user dashboard with the platform name, route region, device, and full error message. Don’t share your password or subscription URL.
